  • check_circle 400 to 450g cassava (1 tuber)
  • check_circle 2 or 3 very ripe plantains
  • check_circle 1 tablespoon salt
  • check_circle and, of course, frying oil!

receipt_long Preparation Steps

  1. 1
Start by peeling and grating your cassava; since cassava contains a lot of water, you should obtain a kind of paste, which I invite you to press between your hands, or in a clean cloth, in order to extract the excess water.
  2. 2
Now to the bananas! They need to be pounded, or failing that blended, until you obtain a paste.
  3. 3
Now combine the two pastes, incorporating the salt, until the mixture is well blended; and regarding the texture, you should be able to dip a spoon into it and pull it out without the paste sticking or running.
  4. 4
Heat the frying oil, form your cassava fritters with the help of one or two spoons, then drop them into the oil.
  5. 5
Drain, and your cassava fritters are ready! Serve them hot with a bit of chili. Enjoy!!
