    Peel and wash your cassava.

    Soak the peeled cassava in water for 3 days.

    Drain your cassava and pound it finely.

    Salt the resulting paste, then pour in the water and the palm oil alternately, mixing between each addition.

    Wrap your mintumba in the banana leaves.

    Steam them over low heat for 3 hours.

    Once cooked, take them out of the pot and dry them in the oven on the grill setting for 30 minutes.
