    Take the 2 whole eggs and work them with the sugar. The mixture should be foamy.

    To this first mixture, add the melted butter and the flour, spoonful by spoonful. Add the lemon zest and the baking powder.

    Butter the madeleine moulds and fill the cavities with batter.

    Put them in a hot oven for 10 minutes (gas mark 7).

    To finish, unmould and let cool.
